Lusting, drooling, obsessing over....

No, it's not my husband! I mean, him too, but that just goes without saying!

It's these boots!
I have been lusting over these boots since early fall when the boots first came out. These caught my eye from the beginning because I love the color of them, the slightly distressed finish, and the little heel. I didn't buy them because I figured I wouldn't find a good reason to throw these on enough to pay $160 for them. So I never tried them on. That is until I saw that they were on sale. Macys didn't have my size, but I was so ready to buy them anyways...they were so comfy. But I held off and found my size on Nordy's website. Not 40% off, but 35% off and I have to pay for shipping. Please tell me it's not worth it and that I should save my money for the running shoes I so desperately need. They're just hideous.....right?

Thank you! Was that the same risotto recipe that you cooked? What did you think of it?

I don't know if you've ever cooked risotto before or how much you know about the process, so I'm sorry if I am about to just tell you something you already know. I didn't like the way the recipe tried to speed up the process. The reason people normally don't like making risotto is because its time consuming and you can't rest during it. You want to rice to be on the mushy side. Creamy, is a better word. That's why I use alot more butter than the recipes normally call for. Next time, heat the chicken stock/water combo and after toasting the rice add first the wine. Then, after the wine has almost soaked in, add a couple of ladels of stock to the mixture. Enough to cover it. Make sure you're always stiring and the liquid doesn't become sparse until the rice is fully cooked. Add a tablespoon of butter in there every now and then for creamyness. End the cooking with wine too. And I wouldn't reccomend cooking the veggies and rice at the same time. I cook the veggies and reserve.

Again, sorry if you already knew all that. If you didn't I'd suggest trying the recipe again when you're up to it.

I am so the wrong person to ask.

I would buy both the boots and the running sneakers. But space it out.. not all in one day but maybe the next weekend so I wouldn't feel guilty. ;)
