In hopes of finding a little splash of color, Jon and I are heading to Picacho Peak today. Around this time the Sonoran Desert explodes with wildflowers. Lupine, poppies, sand verbena and more become plentiful among the cactus. It is all dependent on the rain we receive in the winter and while we didn't get too much of it this year, I'm still hopeful. The fact that we got some rain earlier this week puts my hopes up higher!
Jon is already pushing me to get in the shower because he wants to leave NOW! (eyeroll) I'm hoping when we get to the park we'll be greeted by this
