It's here!!!!!

My yarn from Knitpicks is here! I've been waiting for this yarn to come in, checking out my front door every evening after work to see if a package occupied the dark corner the postman likes to use. Well, I actually got this yarn a week ago, but I'm so behind on blogging.....

Anyways, I got the yarn from Knit Picks, a website I somehow stumbled upon. I love this site because their yarn is dirt cheap (we're talking $2-$5 a skein for 100% wool yarn!) and shipping is free for orders above $45! I needed 8 skeins for a couple Christmas projects, which amounted to about $16. "Why stop there?" I asked myself as I added these skeins to my stash. "I have to pay shipping for these skeins. I should just order enough yarn to amount to just over $45 and pay no shipping!" Like my thinking? It's pretty logical for a yarn fiend like me, though. Besides, as every obsessed knitter knows, you can never have too much yarn. All this yarn will come in handy when I can *finally* buckle down and learn the art of sock knitting, which I have recently become obsessed with despite the fact that I haven't knit a single sock in my life!

All I have to do is finish this wretched scarf I promised to knit for a friend back in Seattle. Due to her desire for a simple scarf, it is pretty the same thing over and over again for 75+ long inches. There's only so much of "yo k2tog" a girl can take!

I can't wait to start on the two pairs of Broad Street Mittens (complete with modifications thanks to Fig and Plum) for my two younger sisters and the many pairs of socks I've been itching to knit from Favorite Socks from Interweave!
