So it may not make much sense that despite the heat, those knitting needles continue to click away. But I finished a cardigan a few weeks ago that I didn't get around to posting about because I'm so lazy to take pictures. It's just so hard to take pictures of yourself! But here she is
I got the pretty buttons at Leandro Fabrics here in Tucson. I'm really happy with it! I used the Silky Tweed yarn that I got from Kiwi back last winter. The pattern, for anybody who's interested, is Eunny Jang's Tangled Yoke Cardigan. I modified the pattern a lot because following it, I was swimming in that thing! I like my clothes to hug my curves. Too bad it's too warm here to wear it now!
And since I've been really mopey lately, I've forced myself to start another project: the Leaf T-shirt by Melissa Lynn (Knitting School Dropout). I'm knitting this one up in a funky colored cotton yarn--more tolerable for these warm spring days we've been having lately. Here's my progress thus far
I hope I get her done before we hit the triple digits here, because from then on it's nothing but little tank-tops for this girl!
I have been feeling a lot better lately (finally!) I've been hanging out with my neighbor lately--she has two adorable daughters that make me yearn for kids even more now! We spent all of Saturday together and had lots of fun. We even made it to the Tucson International Mariachi Conference! Very beautiful music I must say. So getting out has been good for me. I've also been coping by getting back to my baking and cooking....my co-workers are indulging along with me! The deliciousness from just last week alone:
One-a-day Banana Bars
And my Almond White Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Those 3 pounds I lost over last month? I see them finding a way back onto this body pretty quickly if this keeps up!
