Result of the "empty nest" syndrome?

I was just doing my usual rounds on the net before getting my butt off the computer here when I ran into this article. I know it's not funny, but I busted up laughing when I read this. Apparently, a woman left one of these creepy Reborn Dolls in her car while she was running errands and cops mistook it for a real baby. They broke in her car window in efforts to save the unconscious "baby."

I've heard of these dolls before, and they seriously creep me out--they are way too lifelike!

On a sidenote, President Bush is in town for a fundraising event this morning. I went up north to the foothills to have dinner with my kickboxing class and on the way back I saw sheriff's and TPD sitting with their lights off in every entry way off the road. It seriously freaked me out...I thought there was some psycho on a rampage. I called my kickboxing instructor and found out why they were there. I felt better, but then I booked it the rest of the way home. I couldn't escape TPD, though, or those rubber-neckers slowing up traffic because I live near the DM Air Force base and that is where Air Force One was landing. I did make it home though, before he came in!

Tania, thanks for the support. However this isn't the first time I've been through this with him. In fact, its been quite a bit worse before. If I had a dime for every time he'd say he'd call and didn't. For every unreturned email. For every lame ass excuse why he did the above, I'd be a rich woman.

Last deployment was worse and there have been times this deployment that he's been worse, but never intentionally so. Thats what really upset me about all this. Even more so because we've had conversations about how to fix it and ways he hurt me and didn't know. It seems like its never going to get thru to him.

True Story:

I was in Wal-Mart doing my shopping and swung by to get Annabel a few onsies. I noticed this little girl Arwen's age carrying around a baby. I also saw the odd angle she was holding her at and kept worrying she was going to drop her.

As I shopped I couldn't help but stare. And finally I scooted up next to them, I still couldn't tell if it was an actual baby or not so finally I just asked.

It was one of those dolls and they are creepy. And even creepier, the Mom was the one wanting to buy "baby clothes" for it.

I still get the heebie jeebies.
