Fall is just around the corner

The days are getting shorter, we are cooling down to the lower 90s (HA!), and the sun is noticeably lower in the sky.  Soon Halloween will be upon us, and with it the corn maze and pumpkin patch adventures on cool, crisp weekends. The berry season is winding down and in come the squash, apples, melons, and chiles in the Grand Canyon State.  Then we'll be on to November, the month when I finally get to see my husband for the first time in 12 months (I'm seriously proud of myself for holding up this long)! So for this girl, fall is the start of a celebration of sorts. I broke out my Bath and Body Works Brown Sugar and Fig body butter to celebrate and get into the spirit. And purchased some much-needed fall-wear from my friendly neighborhood Target. Surely a girl must keep an appearance and keep warm at the same time!

The hoodie sweatshirt was only $15 so I couldn't pass that up, especially since all my other hoodies found their way into the lab and got all stretched out. I feel a bit guilty, as a knitter, purchasing the cabled cardigan, but it was too cute and if I were to knit that myself I wouldn't even get to wear it this season due to sore, arthritic-feeling wrists and fingers. And the sweater dress, well, I've been wanting one for a while now and, again, it would take me an eternity if I were to knit it myself. I'll sport this one with some comfy leggings.

Now I can truly say that I'm ready for the turning leaves and the end of a great summer!

Gotta love Target! Cute clothes for a good price! Forever 21 is also a favorite of mine. I really wish I could afford Anthropologie on a regular basis though. I love that style and it's what inspired my blog background!
