How I know he loves me

I should totally be in kickboxing class right now, sweating it out with the other milspouses, but I'm not. It took one call from Jon to change my mind. Well, that and yet another headache. I've had a bad headache for the past week and was forcing myself to go to class until Jon called. He didn't in any way try to talk me out of going. He just asked if I was going and that was all it took for me to change plans so I can see him sooner. He was just 40 miles out on the interstate and I was leaving work, yet we got home at the same time. Crazy commute I have here!

So yes, Jon has an influence on me, I'd say. Although he's not the most romantic, he has his ways of letting me know he loves me.

I love when he'll call after PT just to see what I'm doing and to tell me he misses me. Love that!

The day of my nursing school interview he washed the car for me before I left, washed the other car and wanted to clean the house while I was gone. I got home earlier than he expected so he didn't get the chance to vacuum and mop.

He's done dishes on several occasions and even though he hates it.

He hates going to bed without me and asks me to join him even when it's 9 pm (too early for me, but I still go).

Sometimes he'll accidentally wake me up because he has to kiss me good-bye every morning before leaving for work.

He just wants me around all the time, and I love that!

Thanks for all the comments and encouragement :) I'm so glad for you that Jon's home!

It's been a weird week here. I've been a little off my A-game. There's always tomorrow and I keep telling myself that when "The Staff Sergeant" isn't here to remind me that everything will be okay. I did get to talk to him today and he made me feel better, and the little things like picking fabric to cover an old chair via email makes the miles seem just a little less than they are.

It's SOOOOO helpful to know that there is a support group out there. Thank you for your kind thoughts and positive words!!!

Oh, and the pretzels are out of the Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day cookbook, not a la Martha.
